Eleftheria Raptou is a founding member of the Hellenic Association of Theatre and Performing Arts Critics, and she has served as Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Athens and Epidaurus Festival.

She is a theatrologist, graduate of the Department of Theatre Studies, of the  National Kapodistrian University of Athens, a theatre critic, and she has a Master's Degree (MSc) from the School of Architecture of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Department of Architecture and Design, in Architectural Design-Space-Culture. Currently she is also a Phd candidate at NTUA, and as such she takes part as a teaching associate in postgraduate courses at the School of Architecture NTUA.

She is active in several professional sectors regarding culture and education and thus she has served as Adviser on Cultural Policies at the Ministry of Culture and Sports. Eleftheria Raptou has also been a member of the scientific team on issues of education, research-innovation and entrepreneurship, culture and environment in the preparatory part for the trilateral cooperation between Greece-Cyprus-Israel, and the bilateral cooperation between Greece and Israel.

In the field of theory she is systematically involved in writing theoretical texts on theatre, performing arts, cultural policy, theatre for children ( has collaborated with the National Theater of Greece, Aigokeros Publishing House, Papazisis Publishing House, Nea Estia magazine, Analogio festival, etc.), as well as translations of theatrical plays and theatre theory studies.

She regularly writes articles on theatre, culture, cultural policy in the daily and periodical press, while in the newspaper AVGI she is responsible for the column of criticism of the theatre for children, adolescent and youth since 2009, also covering various artistic fields such as fashion, architecture, of performing / performing arts.  Eleftheria Raptou has also collaborated for a number of years with the Athens and Epidaurus Festival, in the Editions department.
