biography
Thanasis Karabalios was born in 1983 and grew up in Paleokastro, Elassona. In 2008 he attended comics classes at the COMINK school in Thessaloniki and in the same year participated in a competition of the magazine "9" of ELEFTHEROTYPIA, where he was honored with commendation.
In 2018, his first complete work was released, the first book in the 1800 series, entitled "FATHER" by JEMMA PRESS. For this work from the Comic Academy he was awarded the prize for the best debutant for 2018.
In 2019 he participated in the overall effort "SWAMPS X- THE BLACK MAP OF RACIST VIOLENCE", a campaign aimed at recording racist and criminal attacks. He also participated in the exhibition "ORESTEIA REVERSE" of the Kakogiannis Foundation, a comic book exhibition inspired by Oresteia of Aeschylus, as well as in other exhibitions in Greece and abroad.To date, the other five parts of the 1800 series have been published.He lives and works in Larissa.
